Bed Rails
Features:
- Rails are 2/3 of the bed length
- Designed with patient safety and comfort in mind.
- Serves as a preventive feature against the patient’s falling out of the bed
- Side rails are easily fitted to the beds by two heavy duty clamps
- Designed and tested to comply with AS3200.2.38 - 2007
- Where an air mattress is to be used, a higher side rail set, with 4 rails, is available to meet the minimum height requirement of the standard
- Tested to withstand a vertical load to the top of the side rail of 750N (75 Kg force / load)
- Tested to withstand a sideways load of 500N (50 Kg force / load)
Please Note:
Side rails are only designed and tested to provide protection / prevention of a bed user falling out of bed.
They are not specifically designed or tested to provide a means for a user to pull or push on them to provide a fulcrum point for repositioning themselves in a bed.
Nor are they meant to be used as a lifting or load carrying device / patient lifting support.
